Long Island, NY – Throughout 2025, the Long Island Elite (LIE) has continued to focus its charitable efforts to make an impact locally on Long Island. The philanthropic group announced its most recent donation of more than $200,000 to its not-for-profit charity partner of the year, HorseAbility, a center for equine facilitated programs. With this donation, the Long Island Elite has now donated more than $1.5 million to local Long Island not-for-profit organizations.
The funds raised by LIE in 2025 will provide HorseAbility the opportunity to enhance the programs offered at the organization’s facility located on the campus of the State University of New York at Old Westbury. With the support of LIE, HorseAbility will be able to design and create a fully accessible (all-ability) playground on property. This includes an accessible outdoor lab/classroom space and covered horse care area. Funds will also assist in developing a utility hook up for two mobile locker rooms/classrooms. This construction requires special equipment, supplies, and resources that can now be realized because of the support received from LIE.
